Trek to the Top of Africa in Support of VALITA
Peter and Roger Cockhill will trek to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for Reverence for Life UK.
The funds raised through Roger and Peter's trek will be sent to our long-term partner, VALITA (Value Life in Tanzania).
We have worked with VALITA since 2010, supporting them in building a safe and self-sufficient community in Da Es Salaam for victims of HIV/Aids. Over the years, we have helped VALITA buy land, construct buildings and source water and, by extension, support orphans, widows and the local community. We have also helped provide a water source and sanitation to a local school of over 800 children.
Any donation you make will be used for the following ongoing projects:
- VALITA’s outreach programme, covering the Dar Es Salaam area, which supports vulnerable families with food, medicine, education and rent support
- Financially support and encourage the development of local micro-businesses
- Protect and conserve the natural environment
