Our first visit to Kaya with the gifts that had been donated by our supporters in the UK.

Some of the families in Dar es Sallam who are supported by SAHU as part of their outreach program. SAHU provide clean water, medicines and help with food where illness has made it difficult for those in their care to look after themselves and their children.

We met the Mbopo local council and their chairman to try and understand the local and regional challenges and discuss how we might be able to help in the future.

We were very keen to visit local schools and the SAHU team took us to the local Secondary School that several of the Kaya children attend. Rahel , the Head Teacher told us a little about some of the 700 chidren in her care and showed us the very basic facilities that they have to manage with. The teachers share the only chair to do their marking and we are determined to help support them further in the months to come.

The final visit to Kaya with birthday cake and a football match .

Farewell, until next time. It was the most amazing week , filled with incredible stories of bravery and a determination to succeed in creating and developing the dream of Bustani y Binadamu or Garden of Humanity- a true reflection of reverence for life in its most practical form.
