WELCOME TO THE START OF OUR ANNUAL REVERENCE FOR LIFE AWARENESS WEEK

We look forward to sharing a different aspect of the philosophy of Reverence for Life each day this week.

This will give real focus in the lead up to the trip of three of our Trustees to Dar es Salaam on Saturday 21st September - the exciting scoping visit for our new schools water project with our local Partners on the ground.

It will also give expression to our support of the Global Climate Strike on Friday the 20th September in which two of our Trustees will share, by attending the 'Busking' event in Letchworth.  This is part of Greta Thunberg's initiative and will be the worlds biggest children's action for climate, ever.

And finally it will prepare music lovers in Scotland to remember the originator of the ethical ideal of Reverence for Life, which we are commemorating in an organ recital given by one of our Trustees, Micheal Harris, Organist and Master of the Music at St Giles's Cathedral in Edinburgh.  The concert will include part of the programme which Albert Schweitzer played in that same Cathedral on the 23rd June 1932, when he was awarded an honorary doctorate at the University of Edinburgh.

(admission will be £5.00 and tickets can be purchased from www.ticketsource.co.uk or at the door).
