Permaculture Course in Pictures
The course covered a detailed curriculum of permaculture practices and will help bring new ideas to managing the land at Kaya.
In August 2020 the Valita team began to research opportunities that would help them to learn about how they could further improve the land at Bustani y Binadami in a sustainable and ecological way. The Course that they found started on the 11th January and finished on the 22nd. They covered everything from the zoning and designing of land , evaluating the quality of the local soil and then how to improve fertility with natural fertilizers if required. They moved on to plant classification of trees, seeds, roots and leaves and then soil preparation , planting , watering and finally , harvesting . The course also covered animal husbandry , bee keeping and the development of natural remedies.
