James Mark

James has had a strong connection with the philosophy of reverence for life throughout his life, given that his parents both worked in Lambarene with Albert Schweitzer and both were always extremely active in furthering Schweitzer’s work and example.

James has therefore been involved with Reverence for Life UK for many years, both as a volunteer and more recently, also as a trustee. He has held the officer role of Treasurer and is currently serving as Chair.
 
Professionally, James has 30 years’ experience in executive leadership roles in many flagship UK venues and global events, notably ExCeL London, the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games and the London Stadium.  He is currently Chief Operating Officer for Therme Group UK, a global innovator in wellbeing concepts, and leading the launch of the Group into the UK market.

James is a strong believer in positioning your own core values at the heart of everything you do and for him the philosophy of reverence for life is a guiding principle in life.
