Brigitte Harris

Brigitte’s connection with Albert Schweitzer goes back to a visit to Günsbach in 1985 for the organ course run by Daniel Roth, where coincidentally she also met her future husband, Michael Harris. Schweitzer’s work in bringing new ideas on organ design and performance has always fascinated her, and together with Michael, she has given a number of presentations to bring his ideas and philosophy to a wider audience.

Brigitte is the Director of Music at St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church Edinburgh and Associate Lecturer in Music, Edinburgh Napier University.

Brigitte runs a thriving choir and plays the organ. She teaches organ and piano lessons and runs workshops of church music skills.
